The history of Pompeii has always intrigued me. To be able to finally visit this incredible city from the past was awesome. We went with a tour, which we booked through Viator. It was definitely needed since there was so much about the city that we would’ve overlooked had we visited on our own. For a civilization so old, it was very well established based on what was discovered. The remains showed the city having marketplaces, restaurants, decent-sized homes, gymnasiums, theaters, and bathhouses. I had no idea that Pompeii was that big of a city prior to visiting. It was a really cool tour and I’m glad we were able to experience it.
