Cinque Terre was on my list of places to see while in Italy. I was debating between visiting Cinque Terre ourselves or going with a tour from Florence. I opted for a tour because I didn’t want to have to deal with figuring out logistics. With the tour, we were able to visit 3 of the 5 towns, which is more than I could’ve planned for. Although our time was limited at each location, it was enough for me to get a feel of the place.
We traveled to Riomaggiore, Vernazza, and Manarola by train with our tour guides. Riomaggiore had super colorful buildings and was very photogenic. We had lunch here and wandered around the town for a bit, enjoying views of the sea. From there, we visisted Vernazza, where we had the opportunity to visit a small church, relax, and people watch. Our last stop was Manarola, the most photographic town in Cinque Terre. We didn’t spend too much time in the city itself, as all of our time was used hiking to the top of the viewpoint overlooking the town for pictures. It was totally worth it. Overall, we got a good taste of Cinque Terre and I’m glad we were able to visit, even for a short amount of time.
