As part of a date idea, my husband and I wanted to have brunch at a restaurant that was located near or at a beach. After a bit of research, we decided to take a day trip to Santa Cruz to do just that. We ate at a restaurant called Aquarius. The view of the ocean was beautiful from the restaurant and it was a great place to people watch while eating. After brunch, we made our way down to the beach to take some photos. The lighting was awesome and I loved how the water sparkled under the sun.
We walked down the boardwalk that was near the restaurant for a bit to explore. The weather was pretty chilly, but not as bad as Illinois winters.

Afterwards, we decided to drive on Cliff Drive to check out views of the coast.

This was definitely a scenic day trip in Santa Cruz.
