Happy to say that my interview from October went well and my husband and I have made the transition to the Bay Area. We left Illinois mid-November and have been living in the Bay Area for more than a month now. We absolutely love it here and are so happy to have made the move.
The trek to get here was definitely a long one though! We hired a moving company to move all of our stuff and decided to drive both of our cars to our new home. We took I-80 W, drove through Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and finally California and made a few stops along the way. I have family in Colorado and so we made our first stop there and spent the night. Next, we stayed a night in Salt Lake City before finally making our way to California. I’m grateful that nothing happened along the way and that we made it to California safe and sound.
